Also, the new web studio allows you to create unmanaged data sources for
shp and sdf files.  I haven't tried it yet though.

I have looked to see if I can set up Mapguide to use data in place.
What I mean by that is use shp files or image files in directories where
they already exist instead of having them copied to the repository data
directory.  I know I can change the location of the library data folder
but what I want is to use existing files in existing locations.  What am
I missing here?  Is this really simple or am I on the wrong track?
