[mapguide-users] Passing variables into MGOS [No Viruses detected]

I see everyone using web layouts. What about the people without Studio Ent?
They can't create layouts. Side note I can't even get web studio to bring in
shp files and render a map but that is a diff story. Anyone have any nice
hacks for displaying maps without the web layout and still keeping the base
functionality of the viewer?

I think this is something I also need.
For example:
http://servername/mapguide/mapviewerphp/ajaxviewer.php?SESSION=8f2b7a1e-
ffff-ffff-8001-001560571dd9_en&WEBLAYOUT=Library://Delft/Web
Layouts/delft.WebLayout
Is it possible to add an X and Y coordinate and a Scale to this URL so the
map is displayed at these coordinates with the given scale?
For example:
http://servername/mapguide/mapviewerphp/ajaxviewer.php?SESSION=8f2b7a1e-
ffff-ffff-8001-001560571dd9_en&WEBLAYOUT=Library://Delft/Web
Layouts/delft.WebLayout&X=123123&Y=12321312&Scale=400
Or is there another way to get this done?
Thanks,
Willem

Subject: [mapguide-users] Passing variables into MGOS [No Viruses detected]
Hello all
I have an application running at http://maps.nnpa.org.uk, and it seems to be
working pretty well. However, as well as this generic interface to our GIS,
I also need to be able to link to the site with a specific layer displayed,
and with the map zoomed to a specific feature on that layer.
Obviously, I can tack some extra variables onto the end of the URL of the
link to this MGOS application, but I am not clear what the best strategy is
to cascade these variables down to, say, the task pane, so I can then select
and zoom to the feature.
I hope this explanation is clear...
Thanks in advance for any help.
Regards
Tom
