The service name in the case of MySQL is either the machine name or the
IP address of the machine.

Subject: [mapguide-users] MySQL connection problem
Hi all
I am unable to connect to the MySQL FDO provider from Autodesk MapGuide
Studio 2007 Preview.
I am using MySQL 5.14 and the sevice name is MySQL51. I enter "MySQL51"
in the service edit box.
When I click the "test connection" button, the message box says "An
Exception Occured in FDO Provider Component. RDBMS:Unknown MySQL server
host 'MySQL51' (11004)" .
What should I enter in the service edit box? Any suggestions on how to
make this work?
thanks
zz
