[mapguide-users] Exporting as XML

The problem was this missing line:

$layerDefinition = $domDocument->saveXML();

This was obliquely referred to in the Dev Guide (page 59):

The page then goes on to save the XML to a resource and loads that resource
into the map...

However, I had to look at the complete code to see the problem.
