[mapguide-users] FW: dotnetviewersample does not work!

After installing .Net 2005, assigning IIS to use it for MapGuide, and
removing the \ from the end of the Local Path for MapGuide entry, it worked!

Steven,
Did you see the InstallMapGuideSamples.pdf file on the osgeo web site?  A
few things that might cause your problems:
 
*     
 
      Are you using .NET 2.0?
*     
 
      Did you create a bin folder and copy the MapGuideDotNetApi.dll and
MapGuideUnmanagedApi.dll from the /mapviewernet/bin folder?
*     
 
      Did you copy the webconfig.ini file from the /www folder to the
/dotnetviewersample folder?  
 
You will also find that the sample app is in C# (my preference), rather than
VB, but translation should not be hard.
 
You're in Stateline?  I went to college at Nevada - Reno and spent quite a
bit of time in Stateline.  In fact, my wife was born there.  It's a
fantastic area.  For those who haven't been, go see Lake Tahoe.......

I have downloaded this file and unzipped it into it's own folder (C:\Program
Files\MapGuideOpenSource\WebServerExtensions\www\dotnetviewerasmple).  When
I attempt to execute it via
http://localhost/mapguide/dotnetviewersample/ajaxtiledviewersample.aspx I
get a Compilation Error telling me the OSGeo.MapGuide namespace could not be
found.
 
 
 
Am I missing something???  
 
 
 
When I downloaded this, I expected to see a complete VS.Net solution.  I
also expected some kind of readme file telling me what I should be doing to
actually run this.  Not seeing any of that, I used the 'Getting Started'
framework as an example of what to do.
 
 
 
I am embarking on a major MapGuide development and decided to go with the
'new' MapGuide instead of continuing with 6.5.  Since I'm planning on using
VB.Net, I figured this example would be a good starting point.
