You may want to change your admin password before making the url public - or at least firewall the external connections coming up to your server if it is development server :)

I tried the url but didn't get any image - as you report.

thanks

yea, it does contain both a REQUEST and SERVICE parameter...

I am just typing the request into the browser directly, I should get back
the image like any other WMS service.
http://12.144.53.43/mapguide/mapagent/mapagent.fcgi?&REQUEST=GetMap&SERVICE=
WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&LAYERS=Zoning_2005&STYLES=default&FORMAT=image/gif&BGCOLOR
=0xFFFFFF&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&SRS=EPSG:4326&BBOX=-74.77294921875,40.61395244116
6596,-74.761962890625,40.622291783092706&WIDTH=256&HEIGHT=256&reaspect=false

I've tried it without the "reaspect" parameter as well...

this is from the Error log:

greetings

just digging into mgos so please forgive the simple questions...

got everything working on a Windows 2003 server. Imported data using the
Autodesk Preview program (quite nice). Figured out how to enable WMS
services and I can query the GetCapabilities file successfully.

1) Whenever I try use the mapagent to make a WMS request (other then
GetCapabilities) it requires a logon. I must be missing the simple setting
to allow anonymous users access to WMS mapping...

2) in the designer, is there an easy way to set the initial extent of a map
to the full extent of any layer/feature class? There is handy link to make
the initial extent the current exent of the preview map but nothing that
would set it to the extent of any one layer inside the map. Also, I know my
data is NAD83 SPC in NJ but it looks like the coords in the extent bounds
for the data are wrong? any thoughts?

cheers

brian
