Also, with the tooltip....

 

I'm not sure if others have a requirement, but I would like to stream
images to the tool tips in the AJAX viewer.  I can place an image in the
tool tip if there is an actual image (i.e. <img
src=http://localhost/images/me.gif>) .  But I have images that are
stored in the database and I have a page that streams out the images
from the DB (i.e. <img src=http://localhost/getImage.aspx?ID=123>)
The tooltip will blink and blink, but no image appears.  If I hold down
on the symbol in the map, the image sometimes appears for a split
second.   This function works great in my Google map and I would like to
know if this will be something that we can expect to see in Mapguide.

Juan,

 

This is a bug, and it does not depend on the type of layer. The code
that extracts tool tip info is common with the code performing the
selection. This code enforces that a layer is selectable. This is of
course desirable for the selection process, but not for tool tips.

Is anyone else experiencing issues with tooltips on features?  For my
parcel polygon layer, if I make the layer non-selectable, the tooltips
will not appear.   Once I make the layer selectable, the tooltips come
back.  I'm using the AJAX viewer and the layer is linked to a mdb file.
