MySQL provider and MapGuide Studio

Hello,
 
I have a MySQL data store created with Autodesk Map 3D 2007. I can 
create feature source connections to this data store in Map 2007 so I 
think I have the database side working correctly. My problem is 
attempting to connect with MapGuide Studio.
 
I have installed the FDO provider and can display the 'Configure MySQL 
Connection' form. I have entered the Service (localhost) and username 
and password but the 'Test Connection' fails with:
 
System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (559) 
MgFdoException.
