Haris,
One of the problems we still face with the described setup is that, when
using views, we don't really have the options of declaring spatial
indexes to define the geometry type of the layer. I don't know if you
can even create a spatial index on a view, but even if you could, we
might have a large number of views based on the same underlying table.
We don't really want to create a spatial index for each additional view.
Have you given any thought to previous discussions we about a
"back-door" configuration option, which allows us to specify overrides
for primary key and geometry type for the tables in a schema?
BTW, the provider is running great on our dataset. Thanks for the hard
work!
