Hello!
I´m tring to connect to an Oracle database (version 10i) via a System DSN.
This database holds attribut data only, which I plan to join with a
point feature source in my map.
1. I´ve set up a System DSN in Administrative Tool/ Data Sources.
Configuring and testing
the connection here using the Oracle ODBC Driver works fine.
2. In MapGuide Studio, however, using the same System DSN when configuring
and testing an ODBC
Database Connection yields the following error:
"An exception occurred in FDO component.
RDBMS: [Oracle][ODBC][Ora]ORA-00922: missing or invalid option"
3. If I instead configure a System DSN with Microsoft´s Oracle Driver, and
test the connection in Studio
I get the following error message:
"An exception occurred in FDO component.
RDBMS: No current open database."
4. I have also tried using the King.Oracle provider. This gives yet another
error code:
"ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently know of service requested in
connect descriptor"
Any suggestions as to what is casuing these errors?
I have googled and read up about these errror codes, but I afraid I can't
make much sense of it!
FYI: I'm using Mapguide Open Source on Windows XP Pro.
Many thanks,
Tobias Stranninge
