[mapguide-users] Highway symbols

Unexpected Error in contacting site URLWell - I thought about converting the lines to points (or just duplicating the layer for that purpose).  I'm just curious if that's how everyone does it or if that's a shortcoming of MapGuide?

You wouldn't happen to know an easy way to do that conversion?

  Currently, there is no easy way to do this because of the inability to use symbols to label polyline features. One option is to modify the source code to draw highway symbols for polylines, rather than draw the text. Another option is to generate a point layer with the positions of the highway labels and then overlay that on top of the highway polylines.

  Is there a way to draw highway symbols using Mapguide Studio instead of using the Text attributes for a given road or roads?  And, if so how.  If not - what other options do I have.
