[mapguide-users] MapGuide Open Source 1.0.2 Released

Hi Tom:

I am wondering why today there is a MGOS version 1.0.2 and a Service Pack 3
for Adsk Map 3D 2007 which enables FDO 3.1 Providers to connect to Oracle DB
10g R2 with an Oracle Client 10g R2, and there is not an updated version of
Adsk MapGuide Ent 2007, I have manually update the FDO Providers 3.1 which
originally comes with MGEnt with the newer ones of Map 3D 2007 SP3 (but this
only works for the Windows version).

So there is a plan of release a major/minor version/revision/service pack
for Adsk MapGuideEnterprise?

Also where can I find the supported coordinated systems for the MapGuide WMS
Server, because I have several issues working with UTM CRS.

Hi Jason,

I updated the downloads page with what needs to be done to get the server to
run.

This is not a secret ploy to get everyone to use Linux :)

Regards,

Tom

Here is the note for the Windows installer:

NOTE: This installer is installing the FDO files in the wrong directory. An
updated installer that resolves the issue will be posted here shortly. Until
then, to get the server to work, you will need to manually move all the
files in
C:\Program Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Bin\FDO\bin
to
C:\Program Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Bin\FDO
(i.e., up one directory). Also note that the providers.xml file in the same
directory, must be edited so that the two occurrences of C:\Program
Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Bin\FDO\bin are changed to C:\Program
Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Bin\FDO.

Hi MapGuide Team :)

I'm not sure if this was an artefact from a previous install, but the
MapGuide service did not start properly after the uninstall/reinstall.
Running the service in interactive mode, I got the following:

----------------------

Running the server interactively as an application instead of as a service.

(2812|3864) An exception occurred in FDO component.
Failed to load FDO library.
Exception occurred in method MgServer.svc at line 312 in file
c:\build_tux_area\mgdev_opensource\server\src\core\Server.cpp

----------------------

I found that I could get around this by altering the file serverconfig.ini,
which was found in C:\Program Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\bin, setting
the FdoPath to a new location.

Old setting:

FdoPath                            =C:\Program
Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Bin\FDO\

New setting:

FdoPath                            =C:\Program
Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Bin\FDO\bin\

Jason
