[mapguide-users] bad performance with mysql or sql server

The connections are not closed because the MapGuide server is caching them for performance. As a temporary workaround you can do the following, but this will cause a performance impact because the MySQL connections will no longer be cached.

 

Edit the serverconfig.ini file and add the MySQL provider to the list of excluded providers. (See below)

 

DataConnectionPoolExcludedProviders= OSGeo.SDF,OSGeo.SHP,OSGeo.MySQL

I'm having problems with MySQL FDO Provider. The MapGuide OS 1.0.2 never close connections to MySQL  so the it reach the maximun connection number and the FDO stop working.

The DataConnectionTimeout in serverconfig.ini is set to 600 seconds but it doesn't work.
