Greg,

this format has worked for me:-

driver={Microsoft Access driver
(*.mdb)};dbq=%MG_DATA_FILE_PATH%MyDatabase.mdb

This assumes the database has been uploaded to the repository

Keith

OK, Ive fuddled and duddled and I think Ive met with 'some' success...
I think the data source has been loaded into the MG repository, because
'Download' is available as an option from the Connection page in Studio
now... However, Show Tables doesn't return anything, and Test connection
results in "No current open database."

This is kind of discouraging to say the least.

I've run into this just about every time I try and connect to a data
base. Its takes some fiddling to get it to work right.

I believe this is what I usually do.

Save and close the connection once you have the connection string
entered.

Open it back up, sometimes at this point it works. Other times I have
to do this again and it works. I have no explanation why but it does.

Hope this helps and maybe someone can offer some advice on what is going
on here.

Chris

Same result - quotes or no quotes.

Your first connection string looks correct (assuming there's no typo in
the file name and path). If you remove the quotes from around it in
Studio, does that help?

I am having some problems configuring an ODBC data source to a Microsoft
access database with MG Studio.

If I use a connection strings,

"Driver={Microsoft Access Driver
(*.mdb)};Dbq=C:\WorkSpace\GISdata\BRA\gdb\bra.mdb;Uid=Admin;Pwd=;"

or

"Driver={Microsoft Access Driver
(*.mdb)};Dbq=C:\WorkSpace\GISdata\BRA\gdb\bra.mdb"

I get FDO Exception: No current open database.

If I use a DSN,

I get FDO Exception: FDOSM_18_CONFIG_W_METASCHEMA

I am using MGOS 1.0.1.

Am I doing something incorrectly here?

Advice appreciated.
