yes probabley this is not working well but i've writen write lines in the 

providers.xml and also include the write file

The connection string you used is an OGR connection string. You can't use an
OGR connection string to connect to the ODBC FDO provider. 

 

In the OGR dialog, you write the connection string in the field for the
DataSource connection property, like the instructions for using the provider
say. See the attached screenshot, which should make it clearer. If you don't
see the two connection properties when you open the connection editor for
OGR, it means your FDO provider is installed incorrectly.

sorry but till now i'm getting error.

i'm using ODGEO FDO Provider For ODBC

and using connection string : PG: host=localhost user=postgres dbname=swift
password=sukalyan

 

& I also tried the FDO Provider For OGR but i'm not finding any place to
write the connection string there

 

there are provider ; connection properties ; user name ; password ; version
; data files ;

configuration files etc. there is no space for write connection string
