I assume you must be working on a Windows server if the SQLServer
connection is working.

Modify your system Path variable to include the oracle directory where
the dll is located and it should work.

10.2 oracle client

I also tested for the SQL server and it works/connects with no problem

The client is installed, I did double check to make sure. (actually
reinstalled the client) I also looked in the directory structure and
found the oci.dll file.

Sound like you don't have Oracle client installed.

It will find tables which have record in xxx_sdo_geom_metadata view in
Oracle.

I keep getting this error of being unable to connect to Oracle when I
try to establish a connection with Studio.

When I work from the server, it does find the Oracle tables.

This is my first attempt at setting up a connection, any help will be
appreciated.

Thanks

Kim
