Problem with SetSelectionXml

Hi..!!!

 

I am trying to zoom to a particular extent based on some search results.
Currently, I am adding all the features (I got from searching) to the
selection set and I am zooming to the selection using:

 

parent.parent.SetSelectionXML(selectionXml);

parent.parent.ExecuteMapAction(10);

 

 It works fine the first time I do it. However, when I do a new search, it
hangs. If I comment out the line:
parent.parent.SetSelectionXML(selectionXml);  , then there is no problem.
However I need to zoom to the extent. Has anyone faced this problem?  Please
help!
