Tim,
You are not alone in here there's a lot of new "MG" programmers in here, me being one of them. I'm an old LISP guy and can defun c: & setq all day long but this stuff with all these dollar signs $ is new to me too. So don't feel too bad. I just sit back and read the message as they come in and hope to learn 10% of what I read.

Thank you for the replys... I am still so new at this and my programming skills are so low that I am just trying to figure out how to get my SDF or SHP files on the Mapguide OS and display the Data that is in a Access Data Base. I can not even figure out the steps to get that to work correctly. The Documentation in these emails are great, but I think that everyone is so far advanced over me that I dont understand the replys fully to make it work. But thank you for your replys.

My guess is that it's likely going to require some motivation to enhance
the functionality. It's a pretty
There was a Google Summer of Code project for it, but nobody picked it
up. Unfortunately, none of MapGuide's ideas had students apply for
them.

I am curious as well. What is the future for WebStudio? Are they waiting
for some open source crew to pick it up and complete it? I have yet been
able to use it for anything. Studio Enterprise along with its API is
great... don't get me wrong. I am sure Autodesk would rather have us buy
Studio Enterprise but it would be nice to know what the future will be
for the web studio.
