[mapguide-users] web studio - feature data setup?

Good question Jason. :)

Seriously though -- from when we first looked at MapGuide as an
overall open source project way back in the Tux days, we felt that it
could not truly be successful as a standalone open source project
without an open source mechanism to effectively manage data. Hence
Web Studio (which admittedly does not *yet* have all those essential
features).

So from our perspective, Web Studio in the open source world cannot
be a 'crippled' technology. Otherwise it won't achieve the goal of
encouraging adoption, and most importantly, further contributors.

Having said that -- there may be value-add pieces -- but nothing that
would be critical in order to make Web Studio a standalone functional
piece of software in open source.
