[mapguide-users] Mesure area functionality

    Hi, everyone

    I'm currently looking for a way to mesure areas using the mapguide
(open source, v 1.1.0), thru the web interface. I've looked in the
built-in commands of the web layout and there is none that supplies this
functionality. Additionally, I've searched the project's TRAC for the
upcoming mapguide 1.2.0 and I couldn't find anything related to this
kind of functionality planned. Also, the mapguide wishlist
(http://wiki.osgeo.org/index.php/MapGuide_Wishes) has an item asking for
this functionality (item 33). Therefore I'am assuming this functionality
isn't available (at least in an easy-to-find way :) ).

    Have anyone implemented this functionality (measure area) in the
mapguide open source 1.1.0 or done anything like it?
