Yes, it is possible. You need to set up a Feature Join on your SHP data
source.

Hi all,

I have a road layer and the data source of it is a shp file. what i want
to do is creating a new theme by filtering it from another external data
source. so is that possible to create a layer which consists more than
one data source?
