Probably not.
 
Many shared hosting packages do not allow you to run services, which would definitely hamper your ability to run MapGuide.  Even if you do manage to get it installed, you'd probably find that your host would kick you out for over-utilisation of server resources.
 
MapGuide is an incredibly rich/deep/complex application.  Along with that power comes some fairly serious resource requirements.
 
For shared hosting, I'd be looking at some of the SAS offerings from Google et al.

I may be wrong but doesn't the dedicated hosting package give more control.

 

 I just wanted to find a way on how to get the mapguide working on a PHP/MYSQL enabled hosted package. Is it possible?
