[mapguide-users] Mapping lat long to screen x y coordinates

How can one map any lat long to screen's x y coordinate system. I am having a
requirement of creating a flash module which displays the cities (points) on
a background image of a state. I have the lat long positions of the cities
and the image of the state, but how do I convert the lat long to the screen
coordinates. In flash the screen coordinates start from 0,0 and 1 unit is
equivalent to 1 pixel.

Any help would be appreciated.
