Try deleting the GDAL_test DATA CONNECTION in Studio and then re-create it.
Be sure to enter the correct path to where you unzipped the GDAL_test.ecw
file to.

I threw something together that should help you test this.  Download
ftp://ftp.spokanemaps.com/public/GDAL_test.zip (it is about 10 MB).  Unzip
the GDAL_test.ecw file to your C:\ root.  Unzip the GDAL_Test.mgp package to
your MGOS packages folder and load the package via Administrator.  Open
Studio and then look in the GDAL_Test folder where you will find the data
connection to the image, a layer from the data connection, and a map with
the layer embedded.  Open the map in preview mode in Studio and you will see
the raster image.

I hope this helps diagnose your problems.

as we could not get one raster working since trying MGOS 1.1.0 I now want to
ask if someone can provide us with a example and the related coordinates so
we can be sure that our problem is not depending on the files. If some of
you get raster working with 1.1.0 and GDAL we would be very thankfull if you
can send one rasterfile to us and it would be also great if you can tell us
all the steps you have choosen to get them work - thanks a lot.
