[mapguide-users] Pin selection on Parcels

Luke,

Im not sure that's the case. I am fairly certain I used the Sheyboygan
parcel sample as the basis for my own application.

In any case, since placing a pushpin on a map requires an X,Y - you
simply need to get the X and Y coordinates of the parcel centroid as use
those to place this pin.

Is this what you're after?

Greg

Greg,
Thanks for responding to my question, after talking with AutoDesk
developers, they said the sample code was created for point geometry not
for
polygonal geometry. Were you able to place a pin using polygonal
features?
If so, I would be interested in how this was done.

Has anyone found the sample code for Sheboygan Pin symbol for parcel
selection to work? We haven't been able to implement that for our
parcel
website. It is identical to the sample but won't work on our site. Is
there additional things needed to be done beyond the sample code?

Luke,

I have adapted the Sheyboygan sample code for our own parcel application
(albeit in .NET) - so I can try to help. Can you tell me more about
what's happening? There is code on at least 2 - if not 3 - pages that
need to be modified. These include findparceltask.aspx,
findparcels.aspx, and finparcelfunctions.aspx. There data sources on
all 3 of those pages would need to be modified to suit your situation -
as well as the coordinate system (unless you happen to be in Michigan).

So, that's a start anyways.

Greg

This sounds ridiculous, but I am having a hard time patching my MapGuide
Studio installation.

After applying the patch to the install, and attempting to connect to my
1.1.0 MGOS site, I still get the "The Studio version is incompatible
with
the site version" error.

I have deinstalled MG Studio completely, reinstalled from my Studio
media,
and reapplied the service pack.

Still no luck.

Any idea what might be going on here?

Thanks,

Greg

Did you apply SP1 to Studio before applying the patch?

Did you at some point in the past download the interim DLL for 1.1.0
RC1? After the uninstall, did you remove the Studio installation
directory?

Jason

All,

Sorry for the basic question. Have been doing a lot of research but
haven't been able to find an answer.

1) Is MGOS able to export the active Map Window to a DWG for instance?
2) If so, does anybody have any sample code/ideas for how it might be
done?

Thanks!

Jeff

Hi All,

Has anyone tried using the Cassini personal web server in place of IIS
to
run MapGuide applications using the .Net API?

I would think this would be great for windows configurations where you
want
to use .net but <cannot/do not> want to use IIS.
