Yes, Fdo2Fdo is free and Open Source. I don't know where it should go (
tools or.. ) but when that decision is made by MapGuide community I will
publish source code also.

 

Fdo2Fdo is basically two parts: one is UI (Microsoft MFC ) and another
is Fdo2FdoAPI for coping data and that is standard C++ FDO client
application which should be easily portable.

Haris, these changes look awesome;  I particularly like the data
inspection tool.

 

Have you yet to decide whether you would distribute this great tool as
open source or not?  Although I personally prefer using a UI for data
inspection, I'd also really like to see this form the core for an open
source utility for FDO. I think that most of the items which are
available through the UI would also be effective in a cross-platform
command line utility.  

 

It would be great if this could be rolled into the FDO project under
"tools" or something.

RoadMap  for 0.7

-          Support for creating FDO schema. Create and define FDO Class,
create and define class properties.

-          To be able to define copy process. Change class name,
properties to be copied, property definition,...

-          Write copy setting into .xml so it can be reused

-          Run copy from cmd using .xml configuration

 

I would like to hear your  ideas/whishes.
