Hi,
I’m not sure it is the place to post such question but I’ll give it a try.
I managed to create a nice map of Paris at street level using Studio and
MGOS. Everything looks great and it’s a real pleasure to work with studio
as it is really easy to understand and it allows achieving great results in
very little time.
What I wanted to know however is what kind of scaling strategy to adopt
concerning streets and roads. What I did is create a composite line with a
specific width for my streets and it looks great at a certain scale but is
not very realistic at others. For example if I zoom too much the width of
the streets is still the same as if I was at a lower zoom levels. To avoid
this I could create different line width for different scales. Is there some
sort of standard scale/road width ratio that I could use so that roads lines
would get relatively bigger as you zoom into the map? How do you GIS
specialists manage this?
Thanks for your help ^^
Cheers
Alex
