[mapguide-users] Shp Files & Missing / Dissappearing Symbols!

MGOS 1.2 Release Version. Win2k3 Server. 

I have a serious issue occuring with a collection of unmanaged shape files.
What I am seeing is that symbology is missing or dissappears as the map is
panned around by the user. It seems to be an issue with how mapguide is
interpreting the index files (.sbn/.sbx/.shx). I have tried deleting the
index files; mapguide re-creates them. A symbol that appears on the map at a
given zoom level will dissappear as the map is panned. I have tried
disabling the other layers in case there was a crowding issue, to no effect. 

Other similar shp files I have created (same symbology & attribute data)
work fine. It's one or two particular files that are seeing the issue. The
file is not terribly large (shp is 365k, dbf 12382k) & I see the problem w/
both the DWF & AJAX viewers. 

Has anyone else seen this behavior or can offer some trouble-shooting help?
