[mapguide-users] How to start the MGserver ??

It's odd that the MapGuide Service is not showing up in the Services snap-in. Perhaps the installation failed for some reason.

The mgserver.exe has command-line options for installing / uninstalling the service. Here's the relevant section of the command line usage (other commands trimmed):

C:\Program Files\MapGuideOpenSource\Server\Bin>mgserver help
MapGuide Server v1.2 1.2.0.1801
  install <Name>
Installs the server as a service. Automatically starts the service.
      Default service display name installed:
      "MapGuide Server v1.2"
You can use a different display name for the service if you specify an
      optional "Name".
  uninstall
Uninstalls an installed server service. Automatically stops the service
      before uninstalling.
