[mapguide-users] Finding the data file path i.e. the value of "%MG_DATA_FILE_PATH%"

I am writing some code whereby data manipulation of features is happening
through FDO rather than mapguide. The problem I have is that when it comes
to working with any auto generated temporary feature sources the file will
be stored in the location defined by %MG_DATA_FILE_PATH%. What I would like
to do is get hold of the value of the data file path from the MapGuide API
in order to be able to replace this constant with it's value. Is this
possible and if so how would I go about it?
