Hey, that's a cool idea Dave.

I wouldn't have thought to try that; just assumed that MapGuide server
matched against the provider's internal name rather than the name in the
registry.

I've have theorized that making a copy of the SDF provider entry in the
providers.xml file and renaming it to indicate it is for update use
might help improve performance.
