The easiest way of editing XML resources on the fly is, hands down,
Maestro:

There is nowhere that I know of for sharing cartographic symbol
definitions, but I agree that this would be awesome.
Anyone interested in contributing some symbol definitions and
screenshots if I set up an area on the wiki for these?

I have read up on the RFC and found a few pages with nice examples. My
question is using Autodesk Studio what is the easiest method for sending
that Layer Definition XML back to the server. Do you have to use the
MapAgent and send set resource? Is this going to get any easier in the
near future?
Also, any examples of symbols along with corresponding layer definitions
would be sweet. Is there a wiki on this is a good place to study up?
