[mapguide-users] Updating viewer state of layer activation

I was hoping to get some guidence as to how to change the layers which are
visible/enabled on the client side Ajax viewer.

I have code which works already on the server side updating the layer
visibility in the server side .Net MgLayer objects and then having the
client refresh. This changes the visiblility of the layer however the client
side viewer does not update the layers frame to reflect the change even when
the layers frame is refreshed. What is more is that although the layer
visibility changes the client can only select from it based on whether the
client side layers tree has the layer as checked there.

I have been digging into the viewer api to try and find a way of changing
the layer activation on the client but so far have not been successful.

Can anyone help?
