[mapguide-users] MGOS 2.0 and IIS 7

Hi,

Thanks to my workstation deciding its days were numbered, and having to get
a shiny new one with 4GB ram.  I was forced to suffer through two days of
'fun' getting vista x64 running.

I documented the process of getting the web tier running on 64 bit IIS 7.
The process should be the same for 32 bit (minus the part where you need to
setup the app pool to run in 32 bit mode).  I've documented it here:

Though its untested, I suspect the same steps will apply to a 64 bit windows
2008 install as well.

I have tested with the IIS6 compatibility mode (add/remove programs, choose
add/remove Windows components tab on the left) a while back. It was working.
I haven't looked at this in a recently, so I don't know if it is still
working. It is worth a shot.

I don't think it's likely that the MapGuide web server extensions will
be able to install to IIS7...  If you don't mind hacking around, you
_may_ be able to get it to work, but I doubt that it will be easy.
