[mapguide-users] Mapguide Portable?

I think what he means is to use it as a standalone viewer, not attached
to the internet.

Once upon a time, a LONG time ago, I had developed a standalone viewer
with Apache and Whip to allow the users to view a "webpage" on their
local pc. Basically I made a copy of Apache run off from a CD (temp
files, logs etc went to temp). It displayed a webpage that could be
searched, dwf's were embedded in a webpage, and hyperlinks within the
dwf's would work etc. I would wager that the same could be done for
Mapguide. There is some functions that would be problematic, measure
etc....

What do you mean by "portable"? Mapguide is internet based. All you need
is a device that can access the internet.
