they are running DHCP so the IP address is the same every time its starts up.




IIRC, the problem is that you get a new IP when you move the machine.
You should be able to restart the MapGuide service to fix it.

Another solution would be to install the MS loopbackadapter:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839013

Then set the loopback adapter to use a fixed adress, and it should work 
(it does for me).
