I don't know what the cause of the behavior could be, but is it possible that the same Windows Updates have not been applied to the machines sending 2 requests?

Subject: [mapguide-users] two requests
In Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise Update 1 Readme, I found this interesting:
"■ FDO Oracle trace showed two sets of queries for a single layer when there
should have been only one. Web browsers were sending a second render
map request because of PNG transparency issues with the map image.
Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2 and Firefox 3 now only send one request,
improving performance. Internet Explorer 6 and Safari 3 still send two
requests to render the map, because they do not properly support PNG
transparency."
I noticed that ajax viewer on one of my PCs is sending two requests to Mapguide 2.0.2. even when I am using IE 7.
So it makes map rendering twice slower as it should be.
FF 2 sends only one request from that machine.
>From couple of other PCs, IE 7 is sending only one request.
Is this only PNG transparency issue or there are some other issues?
