Hi List

I'm absolutely new with mapguide open source and would like to install
it on a linux operating system. As I read on
http://mapguide.osgeo.org/system_requirements.html fedora and red hat
are supported. First I got a little bit confused about the fedora 6
version. Isn't it a quite old version? Then I downloaded the live CD
(http://mapguide.osgeo.org/) and mapguide runs on an Ubuntu 8.04
operating system. I guess that mapguide runs, with propre installation
of course, on any linux operating system?!

Which Linux distribution do you recommend? What kind of experiences did
you make?

Thanks a lot for your hints.
Christoph
