[mapguide-users] Errors with mapguide svn checkout

I'm not entirely sure I am going about this correctly, but I have been
getting errors every time I try to do an svn-checkout on the mapguide
repository.

I downloaded tortoiseSVN
I created a folder and did right-click, 'svn checkout...'
I pointed the url to http://svn.osgeo.org/mapguide/trunk/MgDev

And files began downloading to my local folder. The progress varies, but
after downloading 50-100MB, I get an error stating 
"REPORT of '/mapguide/!svn/vcc/default': Could not read chunk size:
connection"
and just this last attempt, I also got 
"was closed by server (http://svn.osgeo.org)"

I suspect that I'm doing something wrong, but is it possible that there is a
problem with svn checkouts?

Or maybe does anyone have some advice for getting this to work? I'm not very
versed in svn usage.

My OS is Windows XP
