OpenLayers supports both Google and MapGuide layers, so it is reasonably easy to build OpenLayers applications that display both. Check out http://openlayers.org for more details. Last time I did a search for this, I found a sample PHP script that performed the necessary MapGuide layer initialization.
I believe Fusion 2.0 also supports Google layers, so it should be possible to combine MG and Google in a flexible layout.
The one 'trick' that I found if you want your MG map to align properly with Google (or Virtual Earth or Yahoo) is to assign it a spherical Mercator coordinate system. If you do a search, you should be able to find the WKT definition of such a coordinate system, and drop it into your map definition XML.
