James,

I have to ifnorm you that it is no possible to add Oracle Spatial module to
the Oracle Express editions (10g or  11g).

You can always store data as BLOB data types or XML objects into an Oracle
DBMS, but this connectivity with MGOS is not out of the box - you would need
to develop it.

I advise you to try tih Oracle DBMS 10 or 11g (Enterprise Edition).
