[mapguide-users] RE: need help installing mapguide

... regarding this, I definitely can log into admin with the default
"Administrator/admin" with no problems - but that user/pass does not
work for the authentication dialog that appears when then the
mapviewernet page.  I am trying to learn why I cannot access the
mapviewernet page.

Hi - Just installed MapGuide on Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, IIS 7.5
64 bit from the installer "MapGuideOpenSource-2.2.0.4982-Beta1-x64", and
it's my first MG install ever.  Now I am stuck - currently I have:

 

-          Mapguide service is running

 

-          Can access the mapadmin page, log in, and administer the
server

 

-          But when I try to access
http://localhost/mapguide/mapviewernet/ I immediately get a dialog that
says:

 

o   Authentication required

o   A username and password are being requested by http://localhost.
The site says: "MapGuide"

 

... and I can get no further.  Looking at web.config for mapviewernet
page looks like authentication is set to none.  

 

Any ideas?  Maybe something simple, as I am new to mapguide.
