[mapguide-users] Create Shapefile

Hello everyone.

I am currently in the process of updating some map applications from
MapServer to Mapguide enterprise 2010.

Looking at the MapServer application I realized that there is a script that
is run in php, which creates a shapefile using data pulled from sybase
datbase tables.

Reading through the fourms and documentation, it seems that mapguide does
not support the creation of shapefiles.

Does anyone know if MapServer can be installed on the same server as
mapguide in order to use the create shapefile functionallity?

Does anyone know of any other products that can create shapefiles in php
reading from a sybase table?
