Hi mark,
i have changed the ApplicationDefinition.xml as per your suggestions....but
the problem is same...

my data is zoomed  out (almost as a single point) in the browser.

After zooming In iam able to see the map...but the feature is not
selecting.............

In feature resource also  the coordinate system is


UTM83-11 (UTM with NAD83 datum, Zone 11, Meter; Central Meridian 117d W)

In Map definition also 

UTM83-11 (UTM with NAD83 datum, Zone 11, Meter; Central Meridian 117d W)

In Application Definition also


UTM83-11 (UTM with NAD83 datum, Zone 11, Meter; Central Meridian 117d W)

then what might be the problem???????????
