Hi,

This is a very old topic and though I've noticed labeling, both for tiled
and non tiled layers has been improved -specially in MGE- I still believe
the default rendering of labels for line features in tiled layers is pretty
disappointing; I love the performance of a tiled streets layer but the
labels on every segment are a deal breaker.

I believe this original post is from 2006/7. I've been looking around in the
archives and can't seem to find any post that is more relevant.

Question is has the community discovered any techniques for displaying this
kind of labelled features nicely? Are there any switches or settings in MGO
that can help? Perhaps someone can direct me to a related discussion?
