You do need to move to 2.1. While it may not solve all of your issues, it will be a big start.

Subject: [mapguide-users] CPU 99%

Hello,

We are using MapGuide 2.0 on Server 2003, and we have some problem. Our map
of 78 layers covers the entire Alberta. We are using tiling with 14 scales.
When we zoom too much, the CPU is climbing and the Mem Usage as well. The
problem is this memory is never released. So, the server is really slow or
crash. We can’t restart the service, we have to kill it. Sometimes, it
happens only 5 minutes after we had restarted the service (so a schedule
task every night to restart the server is not enough). We are not using any
raster.

Why does MapGuide is not releasing the memory? Which component is causing
that? We are thinking about going on LINUX with 2.1. Will it fix the
problem?

Sincerely,
