That is really too bad about WFS-T.  The "T" is key for posting back to the
data (transaction). 

It would be dead-easy to implement a live editing application with
OPENLAYERS - you would just have to have WFS-T to post back the edits...

check out http://openlayers.org/dev/examples/wfs-protocol-transactions.html

So all your have to do is set up the save strategy to post the transaction
back to mapguide with WFS - if it were supported that is....
