[mapguide-users] IE6 users cannot see map pane using MGE 2010 AJAX viewer

It may have something to do with .PNG support in IE6. The default image served by the server is .PNG. They could try changing to .JPG to see if that makes a difference, but I'm sure the IE7 and above users won't be happy. The color palette may not be as nice.

Subject: [mapguide-users] IE6 users cannot see map pane using MGE 2010 AJAX viewer

I posted this a couple of months ago on the Autodesk duscussion group and got
0 replies. I am hoping for suggestions from this group.

I have a couple users who cannot see the contents of the map. They are
forced by their IT to use IE6 as their browser.

Initially, everything appears to load correctly. The layout, the legend, the
icons in the legend, but nothing draws in the map frame.

If the cursor is moved within the empty map frame, the coordinates change in
the layout, but no map is displayed. It is simply a white canvas.

The site is hosted on Windows Server 2003 running MGE 2010.

Any ideas on why this may be happening would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Neil
