[mapguide-users] Creating a SQL datasource with a Geomtry field

hi,
I have created a sql database with one table and that table contains a field
of the type Geomtry.
In my mapguide server I have a datasource and layer that use this database
(ODBC).

The database is empty and when I save the layer I get a warning, "the layer
doesnt not have a geomtry column"... My maestro is not in english so the
message might be written diffrently.
Which makes sense because the Geometry dropdown box is empty and I cant
choose my Geomtry field.

What do I need to do to be able to choose the Geometry field in Maestro?
