[mapguide-users] how to change selectionColor opacity?

Hi - I see that I can change selection color in ajaxmappane.tmpl:

var selectionColor = '0x0000FF00'; // Blue

... I gather selection color is RGBA, but I am not able to alter opacity, it
always in the same, no matter if I use 00, FF, or any in between.  Is there
something else to change somewhere?  I am running MapGuide Server (Version
2.2.0.4982).

My scenario is a parcel viewer.  Selecting a parcel obscures the aerial
image underneath, as the opacity of the selection color for area fill is
much too opaque.
